Camigliatello, a community in the town of Spezzano Sila, is a modern summer and winter vacation resort located in the center of the Altopiano della Sila Grande, on the left side of the Camigliati River watershed. The ski area, situated on the slopes of Mount Curcio and Mount Botte Donato, includes 6 lift facilities, 2 trams, 1 chairlift and 3 skilifts, serving easy to medium slopes, for a total of 8 km. Better opportunities are offered to cross-country skiers, who have at their disposal 3 slopes formed of circuits of varying difficulty, extending for 50 km. For after-ski activities, there are various alternatives: an artificial ice skating rink, sport fishing for trout, tennis courts, local handicraft shops with objects in terracotta and wrought iron, pizzerias, restaurants, bars and discotheques. Among the gastronomic specialties we recommend the spicy sausages, "sopressata," "caciocavallo," "caciotte della Sila" and "pitte," large brightly colored focacce prepared with the most varied ingredients, such as tomatoes, pepperonis, sardines in herbs, baccalà, and pork giblets. To see, Lake Arvo, an artificial basin closed in a frame of thick pine forest, near the community of Lorica.
